About

The Bitter Shed was born from the same place the work gets done — not in a boardroom or studio, but in a shed at the edge of the farm. Weathered wood, worn floorboards, tools lined up with purpose — not for show, but for use. The shed holds grit, sweat, and persistence… and that’s the spirit behind every product we make.
The Bitter Shed isn’t where the products are made — it’s where the idea was born. The shed is the spirit behind the work: hands-on, honest, and unfancy in the best way.

This brand isn’t about polished perfection. It’s about honesty — the kind that comes from working with your hands, your back, your body, and the land itself.
It’s for the women whose work lives in their body — the kind of strength that’s carried, not displayed.
It’s for women who show up in every season, who carry strength quietly, who build and grow and mend long before anyone sees the result.

Working with the land every season made us realize that what we were growing didn’t just feed the farm — it could care for the body as well. From there, skin and bath care became a natural extension of the same work: restoring what the day takes out of you.

Our farm is cared for by three women working side by side — each bringing her own skills to the land, and all building something together. What we craft is guided by the seasons and made in small batches with intention.

The Bitter Shed exists for real, lived-in skin — skin that earns its story, not by being sheltered, but by showing up. Because beauty doesn’t come from staying clean. It comes from doing the work.

Not just care for the skin — care for the body that carries the work.

Made for skin that does the hard work.
